Meerkat Media Arts Collective
As befits the one year anniversary of our collective, we are unveiling our brand new website. It is the brainchild of all of the nerdier members of Meerkat Media, but I have the dubious honor of having coded the whole website.
Rabbit and Mouse
Cinematic brilliance created entirely in my apartment by individuals who, for security reasons, must remain nameless. The responsible parties would like it to be mentioned that it is "funny" and "revolutionary" and that you should check out the awesome playback buttons.
The Stationary Set
The Stationary Set is a forward-thinking pop group from Michigan. I was commisioned to build the site to support the release of their debut album. It's a classy mix of HTML and Flash.
Flapjack Canyon
A comic by Don, of Indian Chief Blowers. A little bit sad, a touch morbid, and generally fatalistic. We agreed that it probably called for a pretty minimalist website.
Human Velocity
Human Velocity is many things. A travel blog, a video diary, a photo gallery, an essay site... Basically it is the documentary outlet of my brother Nathan's ambitious attempt to conquer the globe. On his bike. Nathan is responsible for all of the content of the site, while I handle the technical side. The design was a joint labor of love. Emphasis on labor.
The Indian Chief Blowers
Don Jolly knows what's up. When he told me he wanted me to build a website for ICB Productions he had already designed the site. Basically all I had to do was build the backend. The easy part. Right. The point is that the Indian Chief Blowers make funny movies, and I built them a website.
Festival
Festival is sisters Lindsay and Alexis whose hearts live in several lands at once. Alexis hummed half-songs in their mother's womb and when Lindsay was born she arrived singing them complete. Be ready to make the fun with these ladies of the forest night.
Vlog Your Face
Vlog Your Face was created collaboratively by Meerkat Media as a simple, minimalist online art project. Unfortunately, anyone that wanted to submit a video to the site had to go through a cumbersome process involving a third-party video hosting site. I suggested I could create a simple, attractive uploader that wouldn't intimidate visitors. Click on "submit your face" to see the upload script in action.
